I have run into an issue recently with Telnyx. I have two new clients that are buying a small UCM and I recommended Telnyx as I have been doing for years. They no longer accept new accounts with free email addresses like [gmail.com](http://gmail.com), [yahoo.com](http://yahoo.com) or [outlook.com](http://outlook.com). These are small businesses that have been in business for years and do not wish to purchase a domain name and move to a different address. In the past they had more strict verification procedures for those addresses, but that was understandable. Also, as I read it, they are requiring 2FA for all new accounts and will only allow one account for login. You can set up sub-users but as the installer, my email can only be used once in their system. As the installer I will have to contact the user to get the 2FA code every time I login to setup sip trunks, port number or do any troubleshooting.

They are making signing up a real pain. I understand the need for authentication to reduce spammers but there has to be a better way. What are you guys using? Telnyx has been pretty good with service and pricing for the past several years, but they keep making it more and more of a pain for new customers to sign up and get working. It is getting harder and harder to work with a real person and not an AI bot. Looks like I need to find another sip provider that is easier to work with. If I am missing something, please let me know.

We have been hearing that for a bit now as well.

We recently started talking to VoIP.ms regarding support and the sign up process. You can test it out with this referral link:

It sounds like Telnyx needs an integrator side. Maybe like how we handle Grandstream sites. Thanks for the new info on Telnyx as I did receive the email about this but haven’t had the opportunity to dig into it. VoIP.ms looks interesting and pricing looks good.

we have been using Voip.ms for over a decade and with the exception of a major cyber attack they experienced about 5 years ago, they have been pretty solid, with a ton of features / easier to use than Telnyx or Twilio. During said cyber attack, I did move some clients over to Telnyx and they have also worked well (and have been a better option / better API for some AI voice / vibe coding projects I have been working on), but otherwise it is hard to beat Voip.ms.

Thanks for all the input. I did sign up for an account with voip.ms and have been testing for almost a week now. I had a few issues in the beginning, but those were my mistakes. So far things are good.
