Alternative to Telnyx

I have run into an issue recently with Telnyx. I have two new clients that are buying a small UCM and I recommended Telnyx as I have been doing for years. They no longer accept new accounts with free email addresses like gmail.com, yahoo.com or outlook.com. These are small businesses that have been in business for years and do not wish to purchase a domain name and move to a different address. In the past they had more strict verification procedures for those addresses, but that was understandable. Also, as I read it, they are requiring 2FA for all new accounts and will only allow one account for login. You can set up sub-users but as the installer, my email can only be used once in their system. As the installer I will have to contact the user to get the 2FA code every time I login to setup sip trunks, port number or do any troubleshooting.

They are making signing up a real pain. I understand the need for authentication to reduce spammers but there has to be a better way. What are you guys using? Telnyx has been pretty good with service and pricing for the past several years, but they keep making it more and more of a pain for new customers to sign up and get working. It is getting harder and harder to work with a real person and not an AI bot. Looks like I need to find another sip provider that is easier to work with. If I am missing something, please let me know.

We have been hearing that for a bit now as well.

We recently started talking to VoIP.ms regarding support and the sign up process. You can test it out with this referral link:

It sounds like Telnyx needs an integrator side. Maybe like how we handle Grandstream sites. Thanks for the new info on Telnyx as I did receive the email about this but haven’t had the opportunity to dig into it. VoIP.ms looks interesting and pricing looks good.
