Basic SIP lines

Who is everyone using for some basic SIP lines now a days.

I am trying to get my SIP stuff off the ISP accounts to make it easier to swap out ISPs when I need to.

If you not reselling use https://voip.ms

Willie suggested Telnyx to me when I setup my GS setup, it was good but if you don’t use the minutes they still charge you monthly :frowning:

Telnyx is by far the best we’ve used. You can do an unlimited trunk or use elastic trunking which is what we do. You pay per DID and per e911 activation so your basic monthly bill will be $2.50 if you have a single DID and e911 location. Then you pay per minute – $0.005/minute – calls to other Telnyx customers are free.

I have to second Willie’s comment. We started using Telnyx a few years back and only use their elastic trunking feature, vs their per voice channel rate. We have had very few problems with them. I have priced out several other carriers and have not found any to come close. The elastic trunking is a huge benefit for users with busy and slack times. I was leery about the “measured service” of the elastic trunking, but so far it has worked out very well for us, as well as our customers.

No voip.ms is woowoo

I would not use voip.ms for any more of my clients, but if you are just learning voip or just need some cheap service to test, not too bad. IMO
