Blocking QUIC on Unifi

I was curious about something. I remember a video Willie did on blocking QUIC on Unifi.

Since then the zone based firewall came along and I am not so sure how to do it.

I was able to Block it in the settings-security-simple app blocking.

But I seem to remember that you set a policy in the firewall itself as well. Saw some instructions on a web page that says go to settings-routing-zone based firewall, but it has policy based routes instead of zone based firewall.

Not sure if I need to block QUIC or not, but I do sometimes like to fiddle with stuff like that to learn more about the network settings.

Anyone know?

Why do you want to block it ?
A google search seems to indicate that there is nothing wrong with
such connections.
So why ?

It is considered a security vulnerability by some.

It’s UDP based and can bypass some security protocols. In some environments it’s suggested to block it.
