GCC direct sip connection to pbx?

Hi,

I’ve got a fully routable Ip address on the WAN interface of my GCC 6011

I’ve tried opening udp port 5060 and ports 10000-20000 to the GCC but the WAVE app just times out?

Also I’ve noticed there are two different areas for port forwarding…

  1. Networking > external access > port forwarding

  2. Firewall > firewall policy > traffic rules > forwarding rules

Any ideas whats the difference is between them please?

Thanks

Harry

PS The pbx module has been allocated an IP on a separate vlan from the default

ahhhh… just tried wave client over a wireguard tunnel specifying the pbx vlan ip directly, all working ok … didn’t realise it was port 8090

whatta lot of “bang for the buck” the gcc’s are, perfect for small SME’s

and all working now using the https://fqdn:8090 address

The gcc is really nice for what you get. I have one to replace my gwn7003 just been lazy about hooking it up.

what motiovated me was… i have rock solid 3cx cloud/self hosted setups… but with all the enshitification going on should always have a plan B these days, and the gcc can run fully with zero dependence on gdms if need be, a big positive!

ps ONLY thing i dont like about it is, every time you browse the pbx module it is connecting to …alicdn.com to pull some icons, pretty underhand usage tracking really. If they had asked, I would have ticked the box at that price/functionality
