Willie, have you experienced the issue with CloudUCM where incoming calls do not work with a UDP trunk? There are quite a few complaints on their forums about it as well… do you have any insight on whether this is being worked on? Unfortunately for me, it’s a no start until that is fixed.
They said there’s a new firmware you can push that enables UDP.
I guess I asked the question wrong… I am using a GRP2612 to test calling straight from the CloudUCM… outbound calling is totally fine. Inbound calling is not, and the error from the trunk provider is “no response”. According to my reading, it seems UDP related. I was wondering if you had experience or heard of the same problem.
I don’t think us basic users can upgrade the firmware on the cloud ucm yet, still showing only version 1.0.25.13 and when you go to upgrade it just says you’re on the latest version. I guess it could have auto updated but I am pretty sure that is the same version since it came out.
@rutman286 you’re doing what we are doing. I went through one of the threads on the gs forum and they said they are working on a fix for the UDP issues. I am guessing it will be in the firmware update @williehowe mentioned when we can get it.
I appreciate the feedback @zak706. Grandstream support also said they would take a look at my CloudUCM and see, I will post back anything they find. Perhaps I have something set up wrong in addition for the firmware changes needed.
I doubt you set it up wrong, lots of people with udp inbound problems. I was able to replicate the issue using VoIP.ms. But I don’t have any issues using clearlyip.com. Hopefully the firmware comes out soon.
I wanted to share that Grandstream support was able to get this working for me! In the end, the setting “Auth Trunk” had to be disabled for incoming calls to work.
Awesome, thanks for letting us know!
