Grandstream GXP2160 Remote Users not connecting (SIP not Registered)

I’ve had various issues getting my remote users up and running (keeping them running) on these handsets (GXP2160). This is the only one we use. Same users have no problem running Wave App on mobile phones on the same network.

The issue I’ve got today is with a Starlink user. She has been online with this setup for over a month with no issues. Last connected on 4/26. Today, the same phone will not register to our system. No changes on either side that I’m aware of, and I’m the only admin.

I’ve been through this at other locations with other ISP’s connecting with this model handset.

Any suggestions as to what might be going on and how to fix it?

Have you tried doing an account swap? I am not sure what gets stuck, but if I swap account 1 to 2 it will register and then I swap it back to account 1 and all is good.


This might not be an option if you can’t get to the gui.

I like the way you think, but unfortunately, that didn’t work this time.

I have had some phones not register, forced them to get a different IP and then it would register. No fail to ban or anything like that was blocking, just the ucm would not let it register. Can that user reboot their starlink too? Just something else to try.

Well, it randomly started working again this morning. I think they may have had a power outage, so the Starlink reboot may have done the trick.
