Has anyone else experienced consistently high loaded latency with GWN7664 APs? I am testing at home between the GWN7664 APs, and the Alta Labs AP6-Pros. There is a good 40ms latency difference between the two different APs when all other parameters are setup as closely as they can possibly be. These test were taken with the APs physically swapped out, so installation was in the same spot. I am at the same spot in the house, using the same laptop…

Which AP was hooked up first and are you clearing the ARP table/mac address table for good measure inbetween testing?
Good questions sir! This has been testing I’ve been doing for a while, so yeah that has all happened more than once between testing. As for which one is first, that depends on what round of testing I have been doing to be honest. The screenshots I chose are the most recent ones I have saved, but I have been able to consistently replicate the results.

I have replicated these results with both my GWN7813P and my Alta 24 port. The switch would be connected to my CCR2004-16G-2S+ via a 10Gig DAC cable.
Willie you work with Grandstream all the time… my APs are several years old and have been involved in a LOT of testing and moving around and whatnot… could they quite literally be tired?
What I mean is… is this NOT your experience and not normal for the APs?
That 7664 isn’t that old – the APs do run a fair amount of processes. I’d be interested to see what the resource usage looks like.
To be fair it isn’t really causing me any noticeable problem, I just find it interesting to see there is a consistent rise in latency like that.
Can you help me understand how best to see that resource usage while speed testing?
On my 7664s I see the same latency results that you see with the alta APs. I have had my 7664s since they were first released and they are running the latest fw version.

Im still running a pair of the 7662’s but about to start testing the 7665. However i have no wifi 6e devices FML.
What is your internet speed? I notice the latency stays really low until the speeds get over 600Mbps or so. I know I never use that much speed, the APs are fantastic in real life use.

Its comcast gigabit extra - so essentially 1400 down 40 up.
My local speedtest server along with my s10e (one my of main ax devices) can reach 800mbps up and down within 15 ft of an AP.
