How many of you do this?

How many of your provide a written summary of all communications with customers, employees, and/or peers when you have meetings? Is this something you wish people you interact with would do?

It’s one of the things I try to do in certain circumstances. We have had too many “he said - she said” happenings over the years. It isn’t even about meetings, its good practice for client interactions. I regularly try to send a follow up email with what has been discussed on a call, whether that’s in person, or over the phone - especially if it relates to impending changes to an environment, potential problems and unforeseen issues that might arise, while also confirming an expected timeline.

I’m leaning into AI to help me with this – I’m going to use it for a while and then I’ll post here and do a YouTube video about it.

I’ve been thinking about doing some more videos for my youtube page (which is a mix of nurse call and grandstream/snom telephony). I’ve just been using my cell phone to record video, but have been thinking i might like to do more than just shorts and 3 min videos. Do you have recommendations on what software / camera setup to use so a mix of camera on phone and screen recording can happen? my page is https://www.youtube.com/@martyatwork2521

Thanks for sharing! There’s someone else here that does medical VoIP too – not sure how much he can say – but he’s here.

Also – only use my cell phone for shorts and tiktok. For everything else I use my studio camera (Canon R series) and my Osmo Action 4 and if I’m shooting in 1 take like most my videos the output is directly from OBS – otherwise I’m using Shotcut to splice and edit.

what screen recorder do you use for recording programming aspects?

OBS Studio is what I use for all of that – I have an Elgato Stream Deck programmed to turn off and on my key lights and to start recording and switch scenes. When I go from full screen to my desktop with a small picture of me that is a scene in OBS.
