Welcome, Ryan! Glad to have you onboard!
Hi everyone! Iām Tony Smiraldi owner of Quik Tech Solutions L.L.C., a part-time business I run in retirement as an effort to stay current and keep a hand in tech. Iāve been subscribed to Willieās channel since 2016. Willie has been my mentor and good friend. Iām also a client of Willieās from time to time as well. Iām a huge fan of EdgeRouters, Grandstream, and Synology products. I use all three in my home as well as in production.
Happy to be part of this community!
Weāre happy you decided to join us, Tony! Welcome!
Hey everybody. May name is Greg G. Several years ago I needed to build a network to provide internet to my home property and that of my Dad across the street. The wifi would need to cover about 6 acres. I worked for the County I lived in at the time and on the advice of our IT guy, and a friend that works at the phone company and is our ISP, I chose Ubiquiti to build it. Learned a lot from the Ubiquiti user forums, but also found Willieās Youtube channel, also Quick Tech Solutions and Crosstalk Solutions. Initially I found a bunch more channels but settled mainly on the three mentioned. Initially I used a PtMP ubiquity network to accomplish this and recently just use mesh access points scattered over the property to get internet to about 25 cameras, etc. I have learned almost all of what I know from
Willie and the other two channels I mentioned. Thanks for all the info over the years and I look forward to being a part of this community!!!
Welcome aboard, Greg! Glad youāre here! It think youāre going to like what we have in store!
Thanks @williehowe, I have learned quite a bit from watching your videos and not only did it help me initially build the network, I have upgraded parts of it based on your reviews and knowledge as well over the years.

Also just happy to be a part of the community, especially on itās first official day.
Please bear with me in the future if and when I ask silly questions on here⦠still always learning ![]()

My name is Jeff and I am the Director of Technolgy for Bayside Terrace, LLC in Waukegan, I manage the network at Great Lakes Church in Kenosha, WI, and I run a small network support business on the side.
As far as network build-outs I only deal with Unifi
Welcome to the community! I hope you find it becomes a great resource!
Ohh Iād love to tell yāall where I work but the biggest acronym in this industry is NDA not TCP/IP.
Hello all, hope I can contribute and help. @williehowe Glad you started this, I think it will be a great resource for everyone.
Hi, Iām Chris Iāve been involved in computing since 1974. In the 1980ās I worked at Cambridge University into the data link layer before Ethernet took over the world. I am a big fan of IPv6, sadly Ubiquiti donāt seem to see the world the same way.
Greetings one and all!
Iām Max, a Brit, living and working in North Eastern BC, Canada, and have been for 11+ years. SMB support, using T1 servers, desktops & laptops, with preferred network infrastructure from the Ubiquiti Unifi & Edge stables - although always dabbling and supporting whatever the customer might already have.
Love doing techie, geeky stuff away from work, but have a passion for sport, and a young family that demands my time!
Iām Curtis, Started networking in the US Navy in 1997, from there I went on to Admin/Support roles until 2017 when I decided to open a WISP for myself and leave the corporate life. I am located on the gulf coast just outside New Orleans LA. Willie helped me learn the Edgerouter way back then, and has been my go to person ever since for many different projects and LAN issues and updates.
