Local hardware based NTP server

We’re working with a client on a new phone system and they sent us their network info. Turns out they are running a hardware based NTP solution that uses GPS for clock sync and then allows you to query NTP from the device on your network. I had never really thought about this existing and being affordable but if you think about all the network based devices you can buy it makes sense. I’ve reached out to the company to see if they’ll send me a unit for a video review. I really hope they do. I’ll keep everyone in post and let you know if they do.

Are you running an internal hardware based NTP solution or are you using an external source? We typically query ntp.uiuc.edu because that’s the national supercomputing laboratory in Urbana Champaign and I always figure if their time is off we have real problems.

I use Lantime from here Modular Synchronization Platform LANTIME M1000

But I am looking for something else like I always do.
