looking for advice on domains, what are peoples views, have you used any personal experience.
I am Just starting to experiment more, never really got into this part of IT until now,
Really looking for a home family environment have a bit of fun, get more knowledge, create a web site and personalise emails integrate with Unifi.
I have these 3 shortlisted what do people thing? prices seem around the same

Nothing like getting your hands dirty.
I am not familiar with any of them as I use a portuguese one. Just look for horrible stories about them in Reddit, and pick the one with the best reputation.
Domain name is separate from hosting, and you will need some knowledge about DNS records.
If you will be managing emails, pick a plan with enough storage.
As for website, I would recommend a Wordpress one.It is easy to get started and there are plugins that will allow you to transfer your entire website to another hosting should you need it.

For almost any domain name, I would set up a Cloudflare account and order the domain through them, if available. They have no mark-up on the domain pricing, and you get great DNS.
