SIP Providers working with Grandstream UCM

Hello everyone,
I was just wondering what SIP providers you have working with Grandstream UCM’s? I would love to see how many different providers we can get listed and possibly even some screenshots of the configurations with numbers and any info blurred. Would be nice to have a repository of known good conifgurations for different providers.

Well I can tell you clearlyip.com, voip.ms and flowroute all work well. I only use clearlyIP now but voip.ms and flowroute are good places for folks to start if they need service and are not a reseller. IMO.
Here is a link to setup with clearlyip.
Grandstream UCM Series

I currently have an Obi200 connected to google voice plugged into my UCM as well. :slight_smile:

I think I have a video on this. It was strange too a couple months ago we ported a customer away from Google Voice for Business. I don’t see ads for it but it’s out there!

In Canada I have a few customers on iPrimeline (which is a reseller of ThinkTel / Distributel). Pretty easy setup and tech portal for troubleshooting.

We’ll be migrating our current Samsung system over to Grandstream next week, and we’ll be using ClearFly. Here’s a screenshot of their quote for monthly services.

Funny thing…i worked with clearlyIP in the beginning to get a sip trunk connected to a UCM and told them the options to get things working!

How many total minutes do you use per month? There’s really no reason to have 6 separate trunks these days. We can probably help you fine tune this.

We handle about 600 calls per day. I’ve been watching the utilization through the UCM. We may adjust, but I’ve got to do some math to figure it out. Overage calls per minute cost vs monthly trunk cost. We peak at 6 quite often, but have only rolled over to 7 once or twice.

A standard elastic trunk from Telnyx allows for 10 calls paths at the same time.

That 10 calls per trunk can be expanded by contacting Telnyx. Also you can use multiple trunks.

@James
Basic setup is really easy, sip server IP or FQDN, username and pw. They also offer TLS/SRTP. and that setup is not bad either. I will get some screen shots of both types and post them here.

@RConger,
Have a look at your minutes and then do the math, I would be surprised if didn’t save a bit with Telnyx elastic sip trunking. Even if you stay with the per trunk billing, I think Telnyx only charges $12 per trunk. You would still have the $1 per DID, and the $1.50 for each E911 listing. If most of your calls are inbound, you can save even more, Their pricing for Incoming calls is $0.0035/minute, and outbound calls are $0.005/minute. The only downside I have found it they round to the whole minute. That really does not make a huge difference though. Calls to other Telnyx numbers are no charge. Also they do not charge for porting in numbers.

This is how we always sell the systems and we 100% of the time beat any CLOUD based and/or per handset systems.

Here are some screen shots of a Grandstream SIP Trunk and the coorsponding Telnyx settings…Note the black box that explains the channel limit setting on one of the Telnyx screenshots.

(If I have something set incorrectly, someone please let me know. These trunks are working just fine though)
