I have setup GDMS at the office, If I want to start a side business and have my own personal GDMS using the GCC 6010 with Telnex how would I can I flip flop between the two. Is there an easy way to switch accounts in Wave app? Or do have to log out and log back in?
Interesting thought – Maybe use a soft phone that will let you register multiple accounts and then get the SIP server and creds from your GDMS and manually register each?
Any recommendations on a softphone?
Always been a fan of Linphone
So you will have two businesses using two different PBX’s?
You could just use 1 PBX and different outbound routes. For example dialing out 10 digits goes out your 1st business trunks. Dialing 9+10 goes out the side business number or trunk (you just need 1 Telnyx trunk and multiple numbers).
For inbound routes you can prepend the business the call came in for to the caller ID. So if a call comes in the caller ID would say company A xxxxxxx or company b xxxxxxx
Going this route would allow you to have 1 extension and 1 Wave registration.
Unless I misunderstood what you were asking for. Which is always a possibility!
Really can’t use 1 PBX. This is going to be a personal business for myself for side projects outside of the company I work for. In which we are using GDMS/VOIP/Wave. Just needing suggestions if I personally would have a GDMS account. Thanks for the suggestion of the Home Linephone. I will take a look at it.
Yeah I get it!
The UCM 6300a is pretty cheap if you want a PBX.
But that still doesn’t help you as the Wave app only allows one account at a time.
You could use Wave for work and Linphone or another SIP phone for the side gig.
I know a few people that connect a SIP soft phone directly to Telnyx to make and receive calls. Of course you get 0 features other than what Telnyx offers.
Yea, really needing features like VM so SIP phone directly really won’t help. Correct me if I am wrong, looking at Linphone and it looks like they have their own cloud PBX? I haven’t signed up yet just looking but that is what it looks like to me. I do apologize just not familiar with them?
And, Thanks James for the help.
I honestly have never used their SIP account just connected it to my own SIP server.
I think MicroSIP is another popular client.
I like Linphone as they have a client for windows,Mac,Linux,iOS and Android.
Hostable UCM coming in the follow weeks! Will have an open beta from what I understand!
