Tariff Tracking 2025 - Not a political post

First – this isn’t a political post – if you turn it that way you’ll probably be banned – just a heads up. This is a this is a quick place for us to post what companies are passing on tariff cost to the consumer and what the percentage is.

I’ll go first!

HP - Start Date: 2/22/2025 - Rate: 10%
Acer - Start Date: 3/1/2025 - Rate: 10%

Just happens that Microsoft is changing their pricing on 4/1/2025 (isn’t that ironic?) but I’m not 100% sure what the rates are yet and how they are decoupling existing services. If anyone has that info, please post!

Thank you Willie, this is a good post. I have asked my distributor if anything is going to change soon with GS equipment and hoping to hear back soon.

When I do a quote now, I think I may just say it’s good for a week. I usually tell whomever it’s good for 30 days, as far as equipment cost.

I am waiting on the Reyee in-wall WiFi 7 AP. I was told should arrive in the US next week. Will place another order next week for a router and AP hopefully no changes in price. :frowning:

I always tell them that the price is vallid only at that point in time. When they commit, I will review the price and let them know if it has changed.
My distributors may change the price at any time. They may try to honor the first offer, but its not guaranteed.

Thanks @josep,

That is good advice. I usually only quote phone systems saying good for 30 days, the prices have been stable from my distributor for GS equipment for a while but it will probably change. Anything else I just say good today but maybe not tomorrow!

Willie, I’m a fan (mostly) of Lenovo, kind of curious of what happened to them for you to lose faith?

I did buy a Lenovo laptop, its a love hate relationship - normal operation is great, networking, not so much. No VLAN support on the intel NIC. Makes working with my equipment difficult when I need to configure equipment on the fly.

Every.Single.Lenovo in this fleet turns to a brick with Windows 11 24H2 – even with the lastest bios and driver updates. Don’t recommend. Swapping out 51 laptops with HPs.

I just got an email from my voip provider, prices are going up a lot on their hardware. I have not seen price hikes for Grandstream equipment yet from my vendor, but I would bet it’s going up any moment. Sigh.

I’m actually seeing GS prices go down with the reseller we use – it’s kind of insane, actually.

Yes, I was looking at my most popular phones and they have come down. I don’t think I will last. But, I like to stay positive so fingers crossed!

Synology just emailed me too but didnt say how much everything is going up but just to get orders in fast.

My vendor just went up on GS stuff. Not too much, still good prices but quotes will be good for one day only now.
