Do you climb a lot of towers? I worked with one company that was adding these to the tops of water towers in my area for a county wide camera system, they made a fortune in labor climbing. I assume the insurance is a lot.
while you are up there can you add a meshtastic node?
I climb “A” tower, I do it for myself only. The normal rate around here is about $2k for 3 guys and a truck. I replace radios to frequently to afford someone else to climb.
The point about this video was the amount of RF in such a small area. I saw 2 ptp 30+db dishes, I think 4 Litebeam’s, one access point, looks like a 90 degree, all meshed up in about a 30-40 foot section of a tower…
I got ya, just seeing the video reminded me of that one time and that was about the rate they charge here too.
defiantly not cheap to climb towers…
