Just wondering if any of you guys are using 8.6x-8.7.11 firmware on PmPT and or CPE equipment?

I have my entire network still running 8.5.12. The reason for this is because the Rocket 5ac Lite & Prism PmPT will randomly skip or change frequencies for no apparent reason after 24-48 hour, it causes havoc with the CPE and the customer. With 8.5.12, I do not have this issue, and also for my customers that have been a long time customer, meaning the CPE was installed as it is now, and has never moved, when changing firmware, I would see a drop in connectivity, for example if the CPE is connected at -65 -65, after upgrading to 8.6, 8.7.x the connection will normally drop down to -72 -72’ish. Anyone else ever dealt with this?

Can’t say that I have seen that specifically, but that sounds like frequency optimization that is running, that either wasn’t present or was previously disabled, and updating the firmware auto-enables it.

On my network the channel hops happens if the freq. is set to DFS band and there is a “radar” hit. Check the logs, usually tells you why its happening.

I only have one radio in the dfs band, and fortunately I never have issues with it. But I only ever had this issue with newer than 8.5.12 firmware. My dfs radio is set to 5500-5490
