So I had a clients super old ubiquiti nvr die and ordered one of these to replace it. Probably installing it today or tomorrow. And now you @williehowe have a video on it. Awesome! Watching now.
Got it hooked up this moring. I was lucky and got the old nvr to start up so I could unmanage all the cams from it, otherwise I would have had to go to each one and reset, that would have been a pain considering where some are mounted. After I got them off, the new one was able to adopt all of them, update the firmware and it is working great. Very nice little box for $200.
I ordered one as soon as it was in stock, works well, most importantly, it removes the extra cost for the viewport, just wish it could do 24v and 48v, because my older G3 cameras are 24v. I ended up buying 48v to 24v ethernet converters to fix the issue. You can also get better resolution with over 10 cameras on the network.
The one I did has been rock solid. Have not had a single issue. Have you installed any non ubiquiti cams on it?
I’ve got one here – but I also have one in an old shed that’s paired with a UniFi Mobile Router and it’s working great.
Yes, I have axis, hanwha, avigilon, and UI.
