Unable to setup Call Forwarding / FollowMe

Hi all! First time posting.

My setup is like this:
1 x UCM6301
5 x Grandstream Phones

The UCM has 1 FXO port being used, connected directly from my ISP’s router. Making and receiving calls works fine on any phone.

I can’t for the life of me manage to make Call Forwarding / FollowMe to an external number work. I get a voice back saying “All circuits are busy”. I even switched my inbound rule to call an external number directly, but the phone just keeps ringing and the phone in the external number’s end does not receive the call. I don’t know what I am doing wrong.

The ucm6301 only supports one analog line so you can’t forward a call from it to an external number as there is no path for it to go out from. You would need a ucm6302 and another analog line.

I see you made the same post on the GS forums. Let us know if you get your sip trunks working.

Hey zak, thanks for the reply. Yes I am trying to reach as many people as possible because I am new to this! :innocent:

Yes the ideal scenario now is to figure out what SIP Trunk actually is and what to say to my Telephone Company in order to guide me to the appropriate solution.

Sounds good, lots of smart folks on this forum so just let us know. Both forums are good resources. Good luck and if you run into issues just ask, someone here will probably know the answer or point you in the right direction.
