How many viewports can you have in the protect app? I have two, only one is able to be adopted. I can ping the second one and see the IP address on the tv. I have also factory reset many times but still not able to adopt it. Any seen this issue? And how did you fix it?
I have a site with two viewports. I don’t remember if the viewport has a web interface like the cameras do, you can try navigating to https://[IP ov viewport]
Tried that already, That was the first thing I tried. No web page that I can see. Only the splash screen on tv.
Is it connected to the default VLAN (vlan 1), if not, try putting it there to get adopted and updated, then move back.
Camera system is on vlan, didn’t have a problem with the first one adopting in camera vlan? The only I haven’t tried is forget the first one then see if this one pops up to be adopted. And disable firewall between your default and camera land and then plug into default trunk port. Which brings me to another question, how do clear the arp table? I will trying this next week. Luckily this is customer supplied equipment, and T&M project. Maybe it’s bad of box?
