We have been providing office phone service for a client who provides home healthcare services with what has grown to a team of 60 caregivers…scheduling and communication has gotten to be an issue.
Outside of the office phones, They use a single, separate phone number for the individual in charge of scheduling via the Verizon One Talk app. This number is provided for caregivers and clients to call the scheduler direct to coordinate care…because they have up to 5 individuals who do scheduling (rotating on call basis), those not on call can just set their app to DND.
Ideally, they would like a platform to be able to message with all caregivers / make calls between caregivers / schedulers internally, and also take calls depending who is on call. This would also ideally integrate with the current office desk phones.
Overall, the Cloud UCM platform would work well for the vast majority of this in my mind, however, there is a small amount of texting they do with clients, which likely will only increase, at which point the Cloud UCM as a total solution doesn’t work, at least from what I can see at this point…
Obviously one can port a number to a different provider and use an online portal for texting, but the goal woudl be to have everything in one spot. I think a solution like Ring Central is probably cost prohibitive on a per user basis, recognizing every caregiver does not need their own DID…
Any thoughts on a solution?
