What to consider when replacing old USG's with UXG's having multiple sites on a single controller

Hi everyone. I am running an old gen 1 CK connected to two sites, and I am not sure how to make the transition to the new generation of gateways(and CK gen 2). Are the new gateways different when it comes to using a single CK on several sites? To me, it looks like the UXG Lite is the closest to what I currently have(USG-3P and a USG-Pro-4).

Welcome to the community!

The UXG Lite, Pro, and Max can be considered drop in replacements for the USG and the USG Pro. If you’re on a current Cloudkey Gen 1 – then you can backup your UniFi Network Application (use the settings only option) and then import it into a new Cloud Key Gen2+. As long as you give the new Cloud Key the same IP as the old one everything should start working without a hitch!

Great  What’s nice with my setup is that I easily can access network devices on the other site. Is it possible to do this if I use the cloud gateways?

If you use site magic or have VPNs – but cloud gateways aren’t meant for multi-site management.
