This beauty just landed here today! Going to do a quick TikTok/X intro and then a YouTube video for the weekend. I’ll share my speed results here!
Awesome. Will you be using a 2.5gb switch with it?
I sure will be using a 2.5gb switch.
Nice, interested in how fast you can do data transfer from one station to another.
Looking forward to a video
Good video. Your speed test results are very similar to what I get.
Does the GWN7665 support PPSK? Where can it be purchased. When I do a search I only get stores I have never heard of.
Also does Grandstream make a managed switch that supports PPSK has has at least eight 2.5g ports and two sfp+ 10g ports?
I recently purchased a UniFi U6LR AP and MikroTik CRS310-8G+2S+IN and the performance is very poor and want to replace them.
Hi Jeff welcome to the community. The GWN7665 does support ppsk.
@JasonsLab has a good video here about it.
As far as purchasing, you can find the gwn7665 on ebay. There is a 5 and 8 port 2.5gb switch, gwn7700m but I have only seen the 5 port available. It does not have poe and is unmanaged. Only 1 sfp+ port on either. I think they are going to release some managed poe 2.5gb later in the year.
That won’t work. I need a managed switch with 2 spf+ ports. Also I don’t consider ebay a place to purchase new networking equipment from reputable resellers.
Doesn’t Grandtree have a dealer network?
Thanks for the info though.
I was just letting you know what was available right now and that they might have what you need later in the year. As far as dealer network, a lot of us on this forum are authorized resellers including me, I just don’t have a store front or sell online. I agree with you about ebay, it’s just the only place I know you can get it without being a reseller and not cost a fortune.
HEY !! thanks for posting my video !! Probably watched it too !! thanks for that
There are a lot of distributors that sell Grandstream gear.
We have been using StreakWave lately and sometimes ipphonewarehouse.com
which 2.5Gb switch did you end up using for this test?
A couple different UniFi switches – the xg6 and the promax with the color LEDs.
